The fellows over at Used Wigs have posted a very nice review of our latest release Isolette. Check it out, and then get tickets for the big Used Wigs Live event happening this Friday March 19 at World Cafe Live! We will be playing a few songs during their show, then a full set after. We are being joined by the Brotherly Love Orchestra Singers (Dave Hartley, BC Camplight, Jeremy Grites, Robert West) backing us up on vocals and percussion!
We are going to be the musical guests for Used Wigs Live upstairs at the World Cafe! We’ll be doing a few songs as part of the show and then a full set afterwards. Awesome comedy person Dave Hill will also be a guest. As an extra added incentive, the BLO (Brotherly Love Orchestra) will be joining us on backing vocals and handclaps.
Hey, thanks to Dagger Zine and Jeremy Grites for naming In Simple Intervals to his top ten of 2009 list. We are honored to be in the company of other great Philly acts like the Swimmers and Gildon Works.
Oh, and mark off March 19th on your calenders, when we will be performing live as part of Used Wigs Live at the World Cafe!
Thanks to everyone who came out last night. It was great to get back to playing. We played some new songs and made some new friends.

We are so excited to be returning to our favorite venue Johnny Brenda’s after an 8-month absence from playing live. Get tickets here for an amazing show this Friday January 29th that will benefit a great cause. We will be playing with East Hundred and The Swimmers and all proceeds will go the JMML Foundation, which funds research for a rare form of juvenile leukemia. Show starts at 9 and we go on at 10:30. We’ll be playing our new EP!
In the meantime, enjoy this little video Ed put together of our recent visit to the WXPN studios, set to our new song “The Last Thing I Remember” from our new EP, which is available for free right now!
Folks, as promised (a little late), here is our new 5-song EP Isolette. This was written over the summer and recorded September 2009-January 2010. It means a lot to us and we hope you enjoy it. Stream it below or click the album cover to download it for free!
All of a sudden, we find ourselves a busy band. The Isolette Ep is finally done. We are mastering it this weekend and it will be available for free for you next week, right here. This Sunday, we will be in the studio live at YRock on WXPN to play some songs from Isolette and In Simple Intervalsand to talk about the records as well as our upcoming benefit show at Johnny Brenda’s with The Swimmers and East Hundred (January 29, more info to come).
Tune in to our performance/interview this Sunday at 8 pm on the internets right here.
The mixes are finally done. Jeff White has done an amazing job with this stuff. Tonight we wrap up the fifth and final song, a stripped down number that is just acoustic guitar and vocals. I had recorded this song previously, but after hearing the acoustics in Jeff’s Port Richmond living room, we decided to record it again there. Sounds quite nice. We will then master these songs this week and post them to our site for your listening enjoyment next week.
Hello there. As you can see we are attempting to redo our little website here using Wordpress. Please excuse us while we are undergoing renovations.
I’ve been mixing the new EP with Jeff White and we will be wrapping it up tonight. We’ll be making the 5 song set available in digital format only, for free, for a limited time. After that we may combine it with some other stuff to make a brand new, real life album. But who knows.
It is without question the best stuff we’ve done. I know, everyone says that. But it’s true.
